(1) Part V of the East African Railways Corporation Act (E.A. Cap. 18) shall cease to have the force of law in Kenya, except in relation to things done or falling to be done in respect of Kenya before the commencement of this Act. (2) All regulations and orders made or deemed to be made under section 84 or 96 or any other provision of the East African Railways Corporation Act (E.A. Cap. 18) shall, insofar as they apply to Kenya or to the East African Railways Corporation in Kenya or to any employee of the East African Railways Corporation who continues in the service of the Corporation under or by virtue of section 95, continue in force with necessary adaptations with respect to Kenya and to the Corporation and to any employee thereof and shall be deemed for all purposes to have been made under this Act (both in respect of service occurring, or anything done or failing to be done, before as well as after the commencement of this Act) and may be modified or revoked by the Minister under the corresponding provision of this Act accordingly. (3) The Minister may by order made and laid before the National Assembly within six months from the commencement of this Act adapt or modify any law of the Community relating to any subject or matter for which provision or to which reference is made in this Act. (4) This Act shall apply notwithstanding any Community or other written law.
