Section 64 of Sacco Societies Act CAP 490B: Default by officers

Any officer of a Sacco society who fails to—
(a) take all reasonable steps to secure the compliance of the Sacco society with this Act or regulations made under this Act;
(b) take all reasonable steps to secure the accuracy and correctness of any statement or information submitted under this Act and the regulations; or
(c) supply any information required under this Act to the Cabinet Secretary or the Authority, commits an offence and shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand shillings, or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, or to both such fine and imprisonment.
