(1) Any institution or other person who issues any advertisement, brochure, circular or other document inviting any person to make a deposit which—(a) falsely represents that he is authorized to accept deposits or is otherwise licensed under the provisions of this Act; or(b) is issued contrary to any direction given by the Central Bank under the provisions of subsection (2), shall be guilty of an offence.(2) The Central Bank may, at any time direct any person to withdraw, amend or refrain from issuing any advertisement, brochure, circular or other document relating to deposits which, in its sole discretion, it considers to be misleading.
