(1) Any notice or document required or authorized to be served on or given to an owner or hirer under this Act may be so served or given -(a) by delivering it to him personally;(b) by leaving it at his place of abode or business with some other person apparently a resident thereof or employed thereat and apparently over the age of sixteen years; or(c) by posting it addressed to him at his last known place of abode or business in Kenya.(2) The affidavit or oral evidence of an owner or his servant or agent as to the delivery or posting of any notice or document required or authorized to be served under this Act shall be admissible as prima facie evidence of the due service of the document or notice, if the deponent swears to the facts necessary to prove due service either from his own knowledge or to the best of his information and belief based on and verified by the records of the owner.
