Section 107 of Health Act No 21 of 2017: Training

    

(1) The establishment, management and maintenance of institutions for the training of all categories of health professionals shall be the subject of national policy providing for collaboration, consultation and cooperation between the state department responsible for education, science, technology and innovation and the Commission for Higher Education.
(2) The Cabinet Secretary shall issue administrative guidelines and regulationson professional post basic training of all health workers for implementation in line with the national training policy for health professionals.
(3) All specialists shall be treated as a national asset in order to sustaininternship training and specialist services to ensure standards and equity.
(4) Regulatory bodies shall ensure that the training of health professionals meet the set standards and quality.
