Section 33 of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act No 9 of 2011: Transition

    

(1) The former Electoral Commission shall continue in office in terms of section 28(1) and (2) of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution.
(2) A person who immediately before the commencement of this Act was anofficer of the former Electoral Commission may, subject to the provisions of the Constitution, this Act and any other relevant law, be an officer of the Commission.
(3) A person who served as an officer of the former Boundaries Commission may be eligible, subject to the staff establishment of the Commission, for employment by the Commission.
