Form LRA 43 – Transfer by Personal Representative to Purchaser

Form LRA 43 is the official transfer form used when a personal representative of a deceased person’s estate transfers land or an interest in land to a purchaser.

A personal representative could be:

1. An executor named in a will, or
2. An administrator appointed through letters of administration.

Key Components of the Form

1. Title Number – identifies the land parcel.
2. Details of Deceased Proprietor – name and date of death.
3. Grant of Probate/Letters of Administration – date issued.
4. Confirmation of Grant – date confirming distribution of estate.
5. Transferor – the personal representative handling the estate.
6. Transferee (Purchaser) – details of the buyer.
7. Declarations – whether the transferees hold the property jointly or in common.
8. Execution Section – signed as a deed by both parties in presence of a witness, with photographs, ID, PIN, and certification.
9. Verification – registrar or authorized witness certifies that execution was voluntary.
10. Registration & Seal – land registrar signs and seals the transaction.
